:::tip Every indicator has its own guide In the settings window of almost every indicator there is the i button, at the top right. It opens a complete guide: what the indicator shows, how to read it, how to use it and what each setting does. See The built-in help. :::

Add an indicator

  1. In the chart, open the Indicators menu. The INDICATORS panel opens.
  2. Click the name of the indicator.

Indicators are grouped by category. Next to the name:

  • ✓ means the indicator is already active;
  • + means you can add it more than once, for example two moving averages with different periods.

If you click again an active indicator that cannot be added more than once, you remove it.

Some indicators are disabled when the loaded history is not enough. For example Day Range needs at least one previous session: hover over the name to read the reason.

To close the panel, click ✕.

Configure or remove an indicator

In the ACTIVE section of the INDICATORS panel you find the active indicators:

  • ⚙ opens the settings;
  • ✕ removes the indicator.

For indicators in a pane below the chart, you also find the same buttons in the pane header.

The settings window

The window title is the indicator name followed by — Settings, for example ATR — Settings. The window contains:

  • the appearance settings (APPEARANCE section), for example visibility, colors, opacity, line thickness and style. The items change from indicator to indicator;
  • the settings specific to the indicator, divided into sections;
  • at the top right, the i help button.

The buttons at the bottom:

  2. Click the i button, at the top right.
