Your first chart

To open a chart, the Master account must be connected. See Connect your account to TickerExplorer.

Open a chart​

  1. In the command bar, click the trading tools icon (tooltip Trading Tools).
  2. In the TRADING TOOLS panel, click CHART.

The New Chart window opens.

If the Master account is not connected, the message Master account not connected. Please connect first. appears. Connect the account and try again.

Choose the instrument and settings​

In the New Chart window:

  1. In Symbol, choose or type the instrument symbol, for example ES.
  2. Next to the symbol, choose the exchange, for example CME.
  3. In Aggregation, choose the chart type and the bar style.
  4. In Frame, choose the interval of each bar.
  5. In History, choose how much history to load.
  6. Click Open Chart.

The first time, the suggested values are:

Your choices become the suggested values for the next chart.

One chart per instrument​

A chart always shows the same instrument: you cannot change it after opening. To see another instrument, open a new chart with CHART.

Save the workspace​

A workspace saves the layout of your open charts, so you can get it back later.

  1. In the TRADING TOOLS panel, click WORKSPACE.
  2. Click Save Workspace....
  3. In Workspace name:, type a name for the workspace.
  4. Click Save.

To open a workspace again, open the WORKSPACE panel and click its name.

To save a workspace you must have at least one chart open.
