Activate your Rithmic account with R | Trader Pro
TickerExplorer connects to the market through Rithmic. To do this you need an active Rithmic account.
What you need
A Rithmic account, which can be:
- a live account with a broker;
- a prop firm account.
Your broker or prop firm gives you the Rithmic credentials and the connection parameters.
Why you need R | Trader Pro
The first activation of your Rithmic login must be done with R | Trader Pro, the Rithmic application. Only after that can you use the account in TickerExplorer.
The first time you sign in with R | Trader Pro, you also accept the market data agreements. Without these agreements you do not receive market data.
Activate the login
- Download R | Trader Pro from the Rithmic website: rithmic.com.
- Install R | Trader Pro.
- Start R | Trader Pro.
- Sign in with the Rithmic credentials and connection parameters you received from your broker or prop firm.
- Read and accept the two market data agreements.
- When asked for your user status, select non-professional, unless you have different needs.

If you are not sure which user status to choose, ask your broker or prop firm.
After activation
After the first activation you do not need R | Trader Pro to trade with TickerExplorer. We still recommend that you keep it installed.
